Hello InnoCare users,
MSP Teleplan is introducing a change to their process on how they will be handling the ICBC claims process.
What’s the current way we’re doing it?
Submitting to ICBC is similar to our other Teleplan submission processes like MSP and WCB:
-Post the charge with a ICBC procedure code
---One charge for the ICBC fee that is charged to the client
---One charge for the ICBC fee that is charged to the payer
---A user can post additional charges that can sometimes be billed to ICBC
-Transfer and claim the charges to the ICBC payer
-Create a bulk package that allows the user to submit a series of ICBC claims to Teleplan
-Send the package to ICBC via their submission web portal
-Receive and post a response to that earlier submission
What is the new way?
FOR INNOCARE SOFTWARE
-Post the charge with a ICBC procedure code, this is now all one charge
--Physiotherapy Charge = $79.00
--Registered Massage Therapy = $80.00 + Tax
-Post a transfer and claim to ICBC payer
-Save claim form to be later attached to submission on ICBC portal
FOR TELEPLAN
-Follow the submission process dependent on your provider type. There is a guide for each provider located HERE
ICBC will be far less dependent on the information posted in InnoCare Software and will be focusing on filling out details on their portal. At this time there is no intention for ICBC to make their site available to submit into as a vendor (like ourselves!) but we will be making approach to try to see if there are opportunities here in the future.
What if I want to charge for an additional fee, ICBC doesn't cover the full charge?
-You can charge your client privately, we would recommend posting a different charge for this scenario
-Please note that all additional body area charges will no longer be covered
What should I make sure to have done prior to April 1st?
We recommend checking out the ICBC submissions videos available:
Submit a report and related invoice
Request a treatment extension or submit a discharge notification
Please ensure that your prices are changed to reflect the new pricing model - and if you need new codes created and are unsure how please contact our support team!
